SGC wants to bring Atlantis home to defend the Earth. Sheppard believes that taking Atlantis to the Milky Way is signing a death warrant for the humans in the Pegasus galaxy. Everyone on the station must decide where they stand, and what they must do. That's only volume One. This is an epic tale, with romance and adventure.
Speranza's good, I've read her for quite some time, so I wasn't surprised that I really liked her take on the future of Atlantis. She writes these characters with love and respect, and with a deft hand. Her worldbuilding is thorough and believable, taking advantage of just what the Ancient technology might be able to do without making the Lanteans unbeatable.
